How do we do it?
We’re a team of 3 professional photographers in love with what we do. We’re highly trained and have many years of expertise. We love your photos and treat each one of them with utmost respect and care.
We do all our work manually and avoid all automated commands.
We use only the latest, most sophisticated software and the best of materials. We never employ cheap alternatives and strongly believe in ‘perfect quality or nothing’.
We care about our reputation and do not give up until we reach the highest possible standard and your total satisfaction.

Can I retouch the photos myself?

The answer depends on what you are trying to do. Some printers come with integrated software, some computers give you a starting point and you could also buy from computer stores a choice of dedicated software. But unless you have the necessary training and employ the latest, most expensive and sophisticated software, the great majority of the images on our site will be impossible to reproduce.
Assuming you have no training and use middle of the range software the things you can easily fix yourself are:
- red eye removal
- rotating a photo
- cropping a photo
- limited color corrections.
Everything else needs an expert hand.
The art of photo retouching lies in its secrecy. Beautiful, perfect work must be done in such a way that nobody, except yourself, would ever be aware of its presence. That kind of magic can only be reached after years of experience.

Essential Retouching

Basic Retouching should be applied to virtually every photo. Photos that are perfect straight from the camera are very rare and almost every single photo needs some level of adjustment. Be it red eye reductions, color tone corrections, contrast or sharpening, they all need a helping hand.

Recommandations:
For Essential Retouching you can use any photo you want. The enhancing procedure will be applied generally and doesn’t need any specific requirements, like head-shots or profiles.
We recommend that you order Basic-Retouching-Only for group photos, holidays or office photos, or any other photo that falls into this category.
Basic Retouching Photos are normally printed at perfect album size : 4 x 6 inches.

These are the steps you need to take:
1. If your photo is on paper, you need to scan it first.
If you have a scanner, you can do this yourself. Set your scanner to highest quality possible, at least 300 dpi, higher if you want enlargements, save it as a JPEG – largest file quality, or a TIFF if available.
2. If you do not have a scanner, you can bring your photo to your nearest photography shop and ask them to scan it for you.
3. Once you have the digital version of your photo ready, send it to us, either by e-mail or using our upload link.
4. Enclose your details and your specific requirements. Ask for a quote or for more information. Either way, we will contact you in the next few hours.
5. Once the work is ready we will send a proof photo to you, for your final approval or instructions. Only when you are totally satisfied with the result we will send the final work to you.
6. At any stage of this process you have the right to cancel your order and are entitled to a refund (if you have already made a payment).
7. If you don’t have a scanner and for any reason you can not use any scanning services your last option is to send the original photo, by mail, to us. We will do the rest, but please be aware that this option involves the risk of damage or loss so you should only try it as a last resort.

Smile Gallery Help

Smile Gallery is the place to have fun. Fun photos are meant to bring a smile on your face and make the perfect, original gift for someone you love. However, they are quite complex projects. In order to create the lovely flying witches or the muscular business men we most often need to combine 5 or 6 photos together. This is a complicated process and requires special characteristics. Depending on each case, you will have to follow the specific recommandations : head-shot, close-up, looking right or looking left, profile or semi-profile, and so on.

Please note : unless you can provide us with the right photo, we may not be able to complete your order.

Before uploading or sending to us any Smile Photo Project please look carefully at the examples shown on the site : is your photo similar? is your face clearly distinguishable? are you at the right angle?

If you're not sure, do not worry. Just send / upload your photo to us, tell us which option you would like to have, and we'll get back to you with a reply in the next few hours.

Click here to use our Upload link.

Click here to send your photo by e-mail.

Printing sizes:
- for a truly remarkable Fun Photo we recommend at least 5 x 7 inches (desk-top photo)
- larger sizes are also available and make great fun wall posters

- file of at least 500 Kb
- in focus
- head shot preferable
- your face must be at the right, specified angle
- each Smile Gallery Photo is different, please make sure that you've read all the recommandations given with the examples

Portraits Help

To have at least one beautiful portrait of ourselves or someone we love is a desire common to all of us. That is why our 'Portraits Gallery' is the most visited page.
In our modern, digital-camera times, we take more and more photos, but unless you are very good at it, only a very few of them manage to capture the essence of a special moment. Be it the sparkle in your eyes, or the sunshine on your hair, those rare photos are treasure-keepers and deserve to become timeless, beautiful portraits.

We care about them as much as you do and will do our best to offer nothing less than the joy of perfection.

Printing sizes:
- we recommed 5 x 7 inches (you will need a file of at least 1500 x 2100 pixels) for the perfect desk-top
- larger sizes are available provided you can send us a file of at least 1.5 Mb

Photos to Use:
- file of at least 600 Mb
- head-shot is a must
- close-up and clear focus
- fortunatelly, unlike the Smile Gallery, with Portrait photos we can use any angle, profile or semi-profile

2. If you do not have a scanner you can bring your photo to your nearest photography shop and ask them to scan it for you.

Restoration Help

These photos are delicate and truly special. Most often than not they are the only reminders of cherished memories, are priceless and unique. Most often than not they lack in quality, color or contrast. Sometimes they are stained, molded or fading. We will treat them with utmost care and we will make every effort to restore them to their former beauty and more.

When it comes to Restoration Photos there are no special requirements. The photo itself is all we need, regardless of positioning, size or color. The only thing you will have to do is to scan the photos, send it to us and explain in detail what work you would like to be done.

2. If you do not have a scanner you can bring your photo to your nearest photography shop and ask them to scan it for you.
