Welcome to Quizzie's Command - Help
Hexy's DALNet

Since both robots, Quizzie and Hexy, are almost identical the command page is common to both channels.
Quizzie/Hexy are quite complex and for the ease of navigation we have divided the commands into specific categories.

All Quizzie/Hexy commands must start with the character ' ! '

Note: w10 - w15 - w30 etc means that you have to wait 10, 15 or 30 seconds until you can type the same command again

Start the game
!trivia - starts the game in case it is not playing already

!server - the current server Quizzie is connected to. (w30)
It is recommended that each player connects to the same server and the same port as Quizzie.

!won - total number of your points and your ranking position
!won Nick - total number of Nick's points and his ranking position (w10)

!stats - displays a list of your stats, available only when at least 300 questions have already been answered
!stats Nick - displays Nick's stats (w45)

!pb - displays a list of your personal records, fast answers, rogers, and position in tops (w30)
!pb Nick - displays a list of Nick's personal records (w30)

!karma - displays a statistic about your destiny as a London player.
!karma Nick - displays a statistic about Nick's happiness as a London player.

Help Commands

!help - displays a hyperlink to this page (w60)

!report Your message here - Quizzie saves your message in her errors logs. This is a way to notify the administrators about robot's bugs or wrong questions. These logs were intended to be checked every day, but please be aware that this is not really happening anymore and your efforts may well be wasted.

!rules - displays a hyperlink to London's Rules of Conduct.

!seen Nick - our seen robot, Thousand Eye displays the latest info about Nick.
Nick can be the entire nickname or just part of it, or even Nick's IP address. Use the ' * ' character to complete the search.
Ex: !seen Arth*
displays a list with all nicks starting with 'Arth'
ThousandEye erases all info about nicknames who haven't visited our channel for more than 20 days.

!seenstats - displays the total number of nicknames in ThousandEye's data bank.

Top Commands

!top - the first 10 players on London Trivia. It takes into account the number of points.
!top 10 - the same as above, but rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top teams - the first 10 teams of respective month
!top teams 10 - same as above, but rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top lines - the first 10 teams with most number of lines
!top lines 10 - same as above, but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top day - first 10 players of the respective day taking into account the number of points
!top day 10 - same as above, but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top roger - first 10 players with most number of Roger Records of respective month
!top roger 10 - same as above, but lists ranking 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top smart - first 10 players with highest number of answered questions in the respective month
!top smart 10 - same as above but lists rankings 10-19 (w 60)

!top open - first 10 players with the most number of Open Prix winnings
!top open 10 - same as above but lists rankigns 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top charity - first 10 players with most number of Charity Points
!top charity 10 - same as above but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top death - first 10 players with most number of Sudden Deaths of the respective month
!top death 10 - same as above but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top deathday - first 10 players with most number of Sudden Deaths of the current day
!top deathday 10 - same as above but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top lucky - first 10 players with most number of Lucky Escapes from Death's Claws
!top lucky 10 - as above but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

!top cats - first 10 players with most number of 'Cat with 9 Lives' Awards
!top cats 10 - as above but lists rankings 10 - 19 (w 60)

Top Fast Commands

!fast - current hour's fast records holders (w30)

!top fast - displays a list with the 10 fastest players. It takes into consideration only the players who are also among the first 15 players in general rankings. This is the most accurate fast command as it shows the players who answered all the questions, not only a few of them, or especially the fast ones. (w60)
!top fast 10 - same criteria as above, but lists ranks 10 - 19 (w60)

!top fastx - first 10 fastest players who have answered at least 300 questions, have available stats, but are not necessarily among the first 15 players in general rankings.
!top fastx 10 - same criteria as above, but lists ranks 10 - 19 (w60)

!top fastall - first 10 fastest players regardless of number of questions answered, stats or ranking position. This is the least accurate list as it shows all the players, even those who have answered one question only.
!top fastall 10 - same criteria as above, but lists ranks 11 - 19 (w60)

!top cps - first 10 fastest players taking into account the 'cps' statistics
!top cps 10 - same as above, but lists ranks 11 - 19 (w 60)

!top react - first 10 fastest players taking into account the fast reaction statistics
!top react 10 - same as above, but lists ranks 11 - 19 (w 60)

Navigation Commands

!target - displays the Nickname ahead of you in the general rankings

!target day - displays the Nickname ahead of you in the current day rankings

!target team - displays the Team ahead

!distance Nick - displays the points difference between you and Nick

!distance Team - displays the difference in points between your team and specified Team

!hunter - displays Nick breathing right behind your neck.

!hunter team - displays the team behind your team

Transfer Points - Change Nick

For various reasons, players commonly need to transfer their points from one nickname to another.

1. OldNick must have already had a password set up with Quizzie
2. NewNick mustn't have any points whatsoever, mustn't be part of any team and mustn't have a password..

How to set up a password with Quizzie?
Open up a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!newpass YourPassword

How to change your password?
Open up a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!newpass NewPassword OldPassword

From this point on you can change your nick and have your points transferred as many times as you need.

How to transfer points from OldNick to NewNick?
Please remember: NewNick cannot have any points, mustn't be part of any team and mustn't have a password set up!
Using your NewNick open up a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!changenick OldNick password
(where OldNick is your Old Nick and password is the previously set up password on OldNick)

What happens if you don't have a password on OldNick and can't set it up because somebody else is on mIRC, using OldNick right now?
In that case the only way to transfer your points is to talk to an administrator. Have a chat with ArthurW, BonoVox or Triton36. They can all help.

Note: Passwords cannot be longer than 25 characters. Use only letters and numbers, no spaces, and no special characters.

Team Play

!team - displays info about the team you are part of

!team TeamName - displays info about the specified team

!nickteam NickName - displays info about the team Nick is part of

!invite NickName - you're inviting a new player to join the team you're part of

!join Team - join the specified Team

Create a New Team
To create a new team you must have 1000 points. Open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!newteam NewTeamName Password MaxNumberPlayers

NewTeamName is the name of the new team
Password is the team password needed to access team commands
MaxNumber of Players is an optional value between 2 - 8 specifying the number of players allowed to join. In case you don't specify the MaxNumberPlayers value, Quizzie automatically sets it up as 8

Team Captain
Some of the available team commands will only be activated for the leader. You must authentify yourself as the leader in order to access them.

Using the same nickname as the one you had when you created the new team, open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!leader password

The password is the same team password used when creating the team.
You must authentify yourself every time you need to access leader commands.

Delete a Team
This command is only available to the team leader. Using the same nickname you had when you created the team, you need to first authentify yourself as the team captain.
1. Open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!leader password
(team password)
2. Once you are authentified, open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!delteam password
(team password)

Rename a Team
This command is only available to the team leader. Please authentify yourself first as in the steps above.
Then open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!renteam NewName

Change the Captain
In case you want to leave the team you created and join another one, you will have to give the leadership to someone else. Using the same nickname you had when you first created the team you need to authentify yourself as in the steps above. Once this is done, open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!changeleader NewLeaderNick

From now on NewLeader can authentify himself as Captain using the password already set up by you, or he can change the password to something else.

Change Team Password
This command is only available to the team leader. Please authentify yourself first as in the steps above.
Then open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!newteampass NewPassword

Limit Max Number of Players
This command is only available to the team leader. Please authentify yourself first as in the steps above.
Then open a private chat winow with Quizzie and type:
!limit Number
The 'Number' must be between 2 and 8, and at least the current number of players in the team.

Set Invite Only On/Off
This command is only available to the team leader. It specifies whether players who join your team need an invitation to do so, or not. Please authentify yourself first as in the steps above.
Then open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:
!inviteonly on/off

This command is only available to the team leader. It confirms your Invite List. Please authentify yourself first as in the steps above, then open a private chat window with Quizzie and type:

Team Challenge Commands

A challenge between two teams can be started only if both team leaders are on the channel.
Both teams must have at least 500 points.
The trophy is a number between 10 - 100 points.

The following commands are only available to team leaders.

Authentify yourself as team captain, then type on main channel:
!teamchall Team Trophy

!accept [Trophy]
Trophy is optional. If left empty, the challenge will start for the initially specified number of points.
Team Captains can modify that number when they accept the challenge.

!deny - the fight is refused.

!pause - the fight is paused.

!cancel - the fight is cancelled. The other team wins the game.

!score - shows the current score

Trophy Challenge

Both players must have at least 3 points.
Both players must be on the channel.
Trophy must be a number between 10 - 100
In case one of the players is disconnected by a netsplit the challenge is cancelled.
If one of the players leaves the channel for any reason : /hop / part / kick, the other player wins the game but no points are awarded.

Type on the main channel:
!chall Nickname Trophy - Trophy is the number of points

!accept Trophy - within 45 seconds. Trophy is optional and specifies number of points accepted.

!deny - the challenge is refused

!pause - the challenge is paused. Must also be accepted by the other player.

!resume - the challenge is resumed. Must also be accepted by the other player.

!score - shows the current score

Best Next Challenge

BestNext Figth is a short, quick fight between 2 individual players. The winner is the player who gives the correct answer to the next question. He is awarded a bonus trophy equivalent to the specified number of points, while to the other player loses the same amount of points.

Both players must have at least 10 points.
Trophy must be a number between 1 - 5. If not specified Quizzie takes the default 5.
If one of the players leaves the channel for any reason, the challenge is cancelled.

Type on the main channel:
!bestnext Nickname [Trophy Optional]

!accept [Trophy Optional] - within 25 seconds

London Open Grand Prix

London Gran Prix is a challenge opened to all players on the channel.
The winner is awarded a trophy in points, plus a special title.
The special title is a funny remark randomly selected by Quizzie and lasts for half an hour.
There must be at least 3 players for the trophy or the title to be awarded.
A grand prix can be launched by any player, but no sooner than at least 30 minutes from the previous open.
A grand prix can be set up for a specified number of questions or minutes.
Questions : 10 - 50
Minutes : 5 - 25

Type on the main channel:
!openlondon quest NumberofQuestions

!openlondon time NumberofMinutes

Sudden Death - Lucky Larry

Sudden Death was actually created to give a helping hand to newbies, players with bad connection problems or simply players who cannot type very fast.
The idea is that Grim Death should strike mostly the players who are already experienced and find themselves very often in the 1-st position. Normally they would be the ones to have to sacrifice, thus giving a small advantage to the less experienced players.
However, please note that Sudden Death is a completely random procedure, and as such, it can go wrong and punish unintended victims.

At certain time intervals Quizzie reshuffles her questions.
At this point she randomly sets aside about 1% of the questions, to be used as future 'Sudden Death'-s.

This is the formula for the Death Penalty itself:
The default Death is - 20 points.
50 % of Deaths are Normal Deaths and are applied as default value - 20.
The remaining 50 % are values randomly selected between - 10 and - 30.
The really Cruel Death would be a penalty of - 30.
The Nicest Death would only take - 10.

Lucky as Larry
When Quizzie gets to one of the Sudden Deaths questions, there is a 25% chance that the Sudden Death will completely be ignored and not take place at all. In those cases the players are not notified and they escape Death without actually knowing it.
Out of those 25 % blisfully unknowing escapees, a further 1/3 are the really lucky ones. They do not only escape Death, but they also receive a Lucky Strike Trophy for a fixed value of + 13 points.
This is quite a rare prize and we strongly advise you to play the lottery in the same day. You're in luck!

Cat with Nine Lives
This is a fixed reward, more of a consolation prize.
When a player is so good, or so unlucky, or both, to be killed 5 times in a day, he is automatically rewarded a consolation prize of + 50 points.
